I love reading about how people get ideas for workouts and Program Design. When Mike came out with Code Name: Indestructible I knew I had to get it. Not only is it based around themes from James Bond movies, literature and more, Mike is a CrossFit Certified Trainer, An RKC, and a Martial Artist.
I’ve only got two out of the three of those credentials, but it was clear to see where the Constantly Varied and the School of Strength meet up in this book and there are some GREAT ideas for your own training, for inspiration, or simply, to make you think about how you are programming and different ways you can combine movements. In fact, Mike puts an entire section on intensity, planning, and programming at the beginning of the book! And with workouts with names like “Sharks But No Lasers” and Trains, Dames and Bullets” who wouldn’t want this in their collection!
Mike recently wrote an article for the RKC Blog about how he wrote this book. Part one of two is here. I’ll make sure to link part two, because I’m betting people will want to read it. This is good Stuff!
